We are pleased to announce our forthcoming Big Coronation Picnic in the Park event on Sunday 7th May from 12 noon to 4pm. As you know these events only happen through the actions and support of us volunteers. So we are putting a call out for helpers.
We need help with the following:
House-to-house leaflet deliveries (24th to Sun 30th April)
If you have spare time we need your help to distribute leaflets to the whole area over the next week (ideally by next weekend). Please get in touch if you can distribute to every house/flat on your road and more if possible. Blocks of flats are particularly difficult to get inside, so if you live in one of the blocks please let me know if you can put a leaflet through each postbox there.
If you can leaflet any of these streets please let me know and how many flyers you may need.
Battle Stree, Bedford Road, Cambridge Street, Cannon Street, Caroline Street, Charles Street, Derby Street, Foxglove Gardens, George Street, Gower Street, Great Knollys Street, Hart Street, Little Street, James Street, Malthouse Lane, Mason Street, Stanley Grove, Stanley Street, Stratheden Place, William Street, Weldale Street.
Help on Sat 6th May – (probably won’t take more than half an hour)
We need volunteers to help put up bunting the day before the event around the railings of the park area.
On the day Sun 7th May
from 9am to 12 noon – helping set up, put up our gazebos, set up tables, chairs etc
12 noon to 4pm – helping on our stall, talking to people, welcoming visitors, and helping with activities (costume and baking contests etc)
4pm onwards – help disassemble gazebos, tables, chairs etc. litter picking the park of any waste from the event.
