What a day to remember in Victoria Park, Reading!
Over 200 attendees gathered to celebrate the King’s coronation in style, proving that community spirit is alive and thriving! Thanks to the fantastic Victoria Park Community Group, this vibrant picnic was a resounding success!
We had a special surprise visit from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, who brought along a fire engine! The kids (and adults!) were absolutely thrilled!
Lifespring Church (Oxford Road) truly made this day unforgettable by organising exciting children’s activities, including games, races, and even treating everyone to complimentary ice creams and lollies. Yum!
Berkshire Wildlife Trust, Reading Hackspace, and Drumming for Wellbeing added to the fantastic atmosphere with their interactive stalls. Visitors got to explore nature, unleash their creativity, and experience the joy of drumming. Talk about an all-inclusive event!

Shout out to the winner of the Cake to Share baking contest, Klaudia Korpala, for her stunning crown cake! It was a masterpiece fit for royalty. And guess what? All the delicious bakes were shared among the picnickers, spreading the joy and celebration!
We were honoured to have the presence of local dignitaries, including MP Matt Rodda and Abbey Ward councillors Tony Page, Karen Rowland, and Mohammad Ayub.
