This map shows the area covered by our Victoria Park Community Group
The area is surrounding Great Knolly’s Street and George Street in central Reading bounded by Reading West trainline (beginning North side of the Oxford Road) and the Inner Distribution Road.
We aim to bring residents together for activities that conserve, protect or improve the character of the area, reduce isolation and build community spirit (see our constitution).
Activities include: family events in the park, community litter picks, community planting, community newsletter distribution, meet ups and more. We would love to do more in our community but we can’t do it alone!
We welcome volunteers to be part of our group, who are proactive and willing to volunteer for activities. Whether you are happy to help with event planning, organising and/or stall volunteering, minute taking, poster and newsletter design/distribution, communications and committee activities, litter picking and more. We’d love to hear from you.
If you can give an hour or more of your time or more each year, please get in touch!
To volunteer or assist with the running of our group committee, our membership is currently free of charge. Please fill in the form to let us know what you are interested in doing.
We will also add you to our mailing list on Google groups.
We are also keen to hear from our community with their ideas, suggestions and concerns. You can also contact us via email vicpkcommunity@outlook.com.
